THE PLOT:
In the not to distant future. A gang of crimals that call themselves the "Hero's Gang" terrorize the city with killer
robots. When they send one such robot to kill the Traitor Whisky. Whiskey and his friend Curley was able to get the upper
hand and severlly damage the robot. Curley being a genius, rebuilds Pioneer 2 and reprograms her under the name of the person
she was designed after, the Hero Gang second in command Maria.
Dubbing the robot Maria, they go on the run because they want their robot back and they want them dead. Can they defeat
the robots and cyborgs on this insane crime group?
THE OPINION:
I did enjoy this movie, the writing was clever. The action was way cool. Everything you would expect in a great Marital
arts movie and a great Science Fiction. But a couple of things did bug me about this movie. One, there is no dubbed version,
it's hard to watch the action and read subtitles at the same time. Two, the way the Police treated a fellow officer was just
wrong.
I GIVE IT...9 STARS
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+OVERALL (Just plan cool, no matter how you look at it)
+ROBOFU (Cool robot kung fu)
+ROBOT EFFECTS (The animatronics were great)
+GOOD GUYS (I liked the human characters, the lead stars anyway)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
-NO DUBBED VERSION (I have the DVD and there is no Dubbed Version)
AND FINALLY:
-POLICE ACTION (It's hard to believe even in China that the Police would treat one of their own like crap just because
he has a desk job)
